What is the eligibility criterion for Mrs.Chennai 2017?

The contest is open to married women aged 21 & above.

Is there any other way I can register?

Yes, you can print the application form, fill it out, attach the two photos mentioned in the form and send it to our registered office (check contact us page). Please keep in mind however that the responsibility for the form reaching our office lies on the contestant. We may not be able to process an application if it reaches us after the closing deadline.

What is the entry fee?

The entry fee is Rs.300. This can be paid through our website.

How should I pay the entry fee? Is it refundable if I don’t get selected?

You can pay the entry free online by using your Credit/ Debit Card or Netbanking using our partner EventJini’s payment portal. The fee is a one-time application fee, and will not be refunded.

Is this the first year Mrs.Chennai is happening?

The Event has been running for the past 15 years. This is the 16th edition of Mrs.Chennai and we are unveiling a new look under the management of Adgear Media.

What kind of rounds will Mrs.Chennai 2017 have?

The rounds may include but are not limited to tests in Fitness, Creativity, Culinary Proficiency, Multi-Tasking, Time Management, Communication, and Grace & Poise.

What will be the criteria for selection?

Selection criteria will vary at different stages of the event and will be based on talent, proficiency and other specifically mentioned criterion corresponding to a particular round. As a suggestion to our contestants – kindly think carefully whilst drafting your introduction in the application form. It will play a major role in your initial selection. The verdict of the judges will be final and binding.

Should I send my photographs? If Yes how many?

Yes, you will have to submit two clear photos, one full size and one half size. Will I be provided with costumes/clothing?

No, initially the responsibility of bringing appropriate costumes based on the rounds lies with the participants.  We may, however, provide costumes for certain rounds as the event progresses.

How will I know if I am I shortlisted or not?

We will communicate whether you have been shortlisted or not through the email and phone number that the participant has provided upon registration.

Will there be some kind of training?

Yes, the finalized contestants will be put through Grooming Workshops and given relevant training. Experts will guide you through this, so you can be confident of your stride onstage.

Where will the event be hosted?

The Grand Finale will take place at Sir Mutha Venkata Subba Rao Hall (Lady Andal School)

The sub-rounds, grooming & training and other activities will happen at different places. The venues for which, will be communicated directly to the contestants.

If I get eliminated can I participate next year?

We hope only the best for our contestants and wish them the best of luck. But yes, participants can participate again next year, if they are eliminated in the first few rounds this year. You can come back stronger, better & with experience.

However, the three final winners – Mrs.Chennai & the 2 runners up – will not be allowed to participate.

Whose decision is final for any kind of disputes arising within the format of the contest?

We strive to be completely unbiased and reward contestants based on merit. In the rare case of any dispute, the judges’ decision will be final and binding.
